This Micor case is for seeds imported into Australia which have remained sealed, and for which the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin is still available, and which is being exported under an EX25 re-export phytosanitary certificate. For seeds that do not meet this criteria, refer to the Solanum lycopersicum seed to New Zealand Micor case.
The phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, or a certified copy of the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection. The Authorised Officer must ensure the phytosanitary certificate meets all requirements indicated on Section 2.73 of New Zealand's Seeds for Sowing IHS (155.02.05) policy.
Note:
New Zealand accepts on-arrival testing for pests listed in the IHS; if the consignment is being tested upon arrival, the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin does not need to endorse freedom from these pests. It is the exporter's responsibility to indicate to the Authorised Officer whether the products are being tested upon arrival.
Endorsement 7118:
- This can only be used if all testing requirements for Solanum lycopersicum seeds as indicated on Section 2.75 of New Zealand's Seeds for Sowing IHS (155.02.05) policy have been met on the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, or if the consignment is being tested on arrival in New Zealand for specific pests and the remaining pests are accounted for on the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, but the incoming phytosanitary certificate does not list the statement of freedom from flesh on seeds.
- The original phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, or a certified copy of the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin, indicating freedom from Pepino mosaic virus, Potato spindle tuber viroid, Tomato chlorotic dwarf viroid, Columnea latent viroid, Tomato apical stunt viroid, Tomato planta macho viroid, Tomato brown rugose fruit virus and Tomato mottle mosaic virus, must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection. Alternatively, the exporter must present the original phytosanitary certificate and advise the Authorised Officer which other pests are being tested for on arrival in New Zealand. All pests listed must be accounted for.
- Visual inspection by an Authorised Officer is sufficient to endorse the statement that the seeds in the consignment have been prepared to industry standards with thorough cleaning to remove all traces of flesh from the seeds.
