New certification requirements from 1 January 2023 (added 14/12/2022)

New certificate requirements by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) from 1 January 2023. The new requirements may impact the export of milk and milk products to India. Refer to Section 5 (documentation requirements) and MAA 2022-36.

New registration requirements from 1 February 2023 (14/12/2022)

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) will implement a new registration requirement from 1 February 2023.

Exporters are requested to exercise caution when exporting milk and milk products to India where product will arrive on or after 1 February 2023, until requirements can be confirmed. Refer to Section 1.1 (establishment registration) and MAA 2022-38.
