A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsement

Endorsement 7299:
  • Melon necrotic spot virus and Muskmelon necrotic spot virus are not known to occur in Australia. No supporting evidence is required to endorse freedom from these pests.
  • A laboratory analysis certificate is required for endorsing freedom from Anthracnose (Glomerella lagenaria), Cucumber mosaic virus, Muskmelon mosaic virus, Squash mosaic virus and Tobacco ringspot virus.

Note: Muskmelon mosaic virus is a synonym of Squash mosaic virus.
If required by the import permit, the consignment must be treated with an appropriate fungicide, insecticide or fumigant.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

2) A representative sample was found free through testing of Anthracnose (Glomerella lagenaria), Cucumber mosaic virus, Muskmelon mosaic virus, Squash mosaic virus and Tobacco ringspot virus.
