Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be fumigated (controlled atmosphere procedure) with carbon dioxide (CO2) at 100% dosage for 14 days.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Treatment is only to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate when the import permit specifically states this requirement.

When an import permit is presented with no treatment requirement, the consignment does not require treatment and a phytosanitary certificate will be issued without a treatment endorsement.
