Consignments are to be treated prior to export with either:
Details of methyl bromide fumigation including temperature are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
- Heat treatment - refer to EXDOC Endorsement 5070;
OR
- Gamma irradiation - refer to EXDOC Endorsement 2033;
OR
- Cold treatment - refer to EXDOC Endorsement 5071;
OR
- Methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 for 24 hours - refer to the treatments section below.
Details of methyl bromide fumigation including temperature are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 5070)
1) The consignment contains plant based ingredients which have undergoneheat treatment to at least 85 degrees Celsius for 10 hours,
2) The consignment has been inspected and found free from contamination of any unprocessed plant products.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2033)
1) The seed within the product has been gamma irradiated at a dose that has rendered any seed non viable.
Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 5071)
1) The seeds were held at minus 18 degrees Celsius for 7 consecutive days, starting when the core temperature of the consignment reached minus 18 degrees Celsius.
1) The consignment contains plant based ingredients which have undergoneheat treatment to at least 85 degrees Celsius for 10 hours,
2) The consignment has been inspected and found free from contamination of any unprocessed plant products.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2033)
1) The seed within the product has been gamma irradiated at a dose that has rendered any seed non viable.
Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 5071)
1) The seeds were held at minus 18 degrees Celsius for 7 consecutive days, starting when the core temperature of the consignment reached minus 18 degrees Celsius.
