Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated prior to export using one of the following options as per the import permit:
- Heat treatment (refer to Endorsement 5070)
OR
- Gamma irradiation (refer to Endorsement 2033)
OR
- Cold treatment (refer to Endorsement 5071)
OR
- Hammer milling and conditioning (refer to Endorsement 6388)
OR
- Methyl bromide at 32 grm/m3 for 24 hours (refer to the treatment endorsement requirements below).
Details of methyl bromide fumigation including temperature are to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section. Details of other treatments are to be endorsed using an appropriate EXDOC Endorsement.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 5070)
1) The consignment contains plant based ingredients which have undergone heat treatment to at least 85 degrees Celsius for 10 hours,
2) The consignment has been inspected and found free from contamination of any unprocessed plant products.
Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 2033)
1) The seed within the product has been gamma irradiated at a dose that has rendered any seed non viable.
Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 5071)
1) The seeds were held at minus 18 degrees Celsius for 7 consecutive days, starting when the core temperature of the consignment reached minus 18 degrees Celsius.
Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 6388)
1) All grains have been hammer milled using 3mm screens and conditioned for 60 seconds at 90 degrees Celsius in double conditioning before processed through seed pelleting.
