Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

The malt must have been produced by sprouting followed by hot air drying which involves a method to remove the sprout.

The seed is to be commercially packed in clean, new packages.
