Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Exporters have the choice of certifying to endorsement 1694;

OR

Flowers / Foliage in the consignment are to be fumigated with Methyl bromide at:

  • 48 grm/m3 at 10-15 degrees Celsius for 2 hours;

OR

  • 40 grm/m3 at 16-20 degrees Celsius for 2 hours;

OR

  • 32 grm/m3 at 21-26 degrees Celsius for 2 hours;

OR

  • 24 grm/m3 at 27-32 degrees Celsius for 2 hours.


Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1694)
1) A sample of 600 units has been inspected on a grower line basis and found to be free of quarantine pests. Following the inspection, the flowers have been treated during packaging with a spray containing 0.1 % a.i. permethrin.
