Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 1699:
  • Only applies to product that has been sourced from an area free of Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Biotype B) as verified by an official survey.
Endorsement 3355:
  • Applies to product subject to fumigation with methyl bromide.


Treatments are to be applied as per the conditions presented on the import permit.

Fumigation with Methyl bromide

Consignments not certified under endorsement 1699 are to be treated by one of the following treatments, according to the treatment details on the Import permit:
  • 10-15 degrees Celsius at 48 grm/m3;
OR
  • 16-20 degrees Celsius at 40 grm/m3;
OR
  • 21-25 degrees Celsius at 32 grm/m3;
OR
  • 26-32 degrees Celsius at 24 grm/m3.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1699)

 1) Tobacco whitefly (Bemisia tabaci - Biotype B) is known not to occur in the area of production, as verified by an official survey.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3355)

1) The product has been fumigated with methyl bromide.
