Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

If indicated by the import permit, consignment is to be fumigated with methyl bromide at 48g/m3 for 24 hours. Treatment must take place prior to inspection by an Authorised Officer.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

If no treatment requirements have been indicated on the import permit, no treatment details are to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.
