Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The seed is to be sourced from an approved seed supplier as listed on the import permit.
The seed is to be commercially packed in clean new packages.

Each type of seed must be clearly identified as to its botanical name.

Urichloa Decumbens seed is a synonym of Brachiaria Decumbens and certification can be issued for Urichloa Decumbens seed based on this case.
Consignments are to be treated with one of the following fungicide combinations, either:

  • Thiram at 10grm a.i. per 10kg seed;
OR
  • Carboxin at 8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed and thiram at 10grm a.i. per 10kgm seed;

OR

  • Carboxin at 8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed and captan at 7grm a.i. per 10kgm seed;

OR

  • Imazalil at 0.8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed and triadimenol at 2.2grm a.i. per 10kgm seed;

OR

  • Imazalil at 0.8 grm a.i. per 10kgm seed and flutriafol at 10grm a.i. per 10kgm seed.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section, unless the import permit specifies treatment details must be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate as an additional declaration.

Treatment details must only appear on the phytosanitary certificate in either the treatment section or the additional declaration section.

Note: The fungicide referred to on New Caledonia import permits as “flitriafol” is known in Australia as flutriafol.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3592)
1) The seed has been treated with Carboxin at 8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed andthiram at 10grm a.i. per 10kgm seed.

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 3593)
1) The seed has been treated with Carboxin at 8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed and captan at 7grm a.i. per 10kgm seed.

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 3594)
1) The seed has been treated with Imazalil at 0.8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed andtriadimenol at 2.2grm a.i. per 10kgm seed.

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 3595)
1) The seed has been treated with Imazalil at 0.8grm a.i. per 10kgm seed andflitriafol at 10grm a.i. per 10kgm seed.
