Endorsement 6225
Uzbekistan identified the following pests on export pathway for Gossypium seeds for sowing:
- Pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella)
- Leaf worm (Spodoptera littoralis)
- Oriental leaf moth (Spodoptera litura)
- Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium)
- Anthracnose of cotton (Glomerella gossypii)
Following pests are not known to occur in Australia. Freedom from these pests may be endorsed without citing an evidence:
- Khapra beetle (Trоgoderma granarium)
- Leaf worm (Spodoptera littoralis).
Freedom from the following pests may be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate based on the phytosanitary inspection undertaken by an Authorised officer:
- Pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella)
- Oriental leaf moth (Spodoptera litura).
Freedom from Anthracnose of cotton (Glomerella gossypii) may be endorsed on the basis of laboratory test analysis of a representative sample for this pest.
1) Khapra beetle (Trоgoderma granarium) and Leaf worm (Spodoptera littoralis) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella) and Oriental leaf moth (Spodoptera litura),
3) A represenattive sample was found free through laboratory testing of Anthracnose of cotton (Glomerella gossypii).
