Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Explanation of the endorsements:

  • Where laboratory testing is required, the statement "OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" must be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).
  • Where crop inspection is required, a crop inspection report is required to endorse freedom from the listed pests.
Option 1 (EXDOCEndorsement 4914)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and found free fromPerennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Bacterial wilt of alfalfa (Clavibacter michigianensis subsp. insidiosus), Stem nematode (Ditylenchusdipsaci), Doublegee (Emex australis) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp).


Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 4916)
1) The consignment is free from Perennialthistle (Cirsium arvense), Bacterial wilt of alfalfa  (Clavibactermichigianensis subsp. insidiosus), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) andDoublegee (Emex australis), according to the result of the official laboratory analysis indicated in the additional product description of this phytosanitary certificate,

2) The crop was inspected during active growth andfound free from Broomrape (Orobanche spp). 

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 1543)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth andfound free from Perennial thistle (Cirsium arvense), Bacterial wilt ofalfalfa  (Clavibacter michigianensis subsp. insidiosus), Doublegee (Emexaustralis) and Broomrape (Orobanche spp),
2) The consignment is free from Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), according to the result of the official laboratory analysis indicated in the additional product description of this phytosanitary certificate.
