Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Exporter must obtain a copy of an import permit (called Phytosanitary Entry Authorisation (Autorizacion Fitosanitaria de Ingreso)) issued by the Agricultural Services General Administration (MGAP). A copy of the original document and an English translation must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of making an appointment for an inspection.

Explanation of the endorsements:

  • Where laboratory testing is required, the statement "OFFICIAL LABORATORY ANALYSIS NUMBER (NUMBER) / DATE (DATE)" must be entered in the "Additional product description field" section of the EXDOC Request for Permit (RFP). There is to be no deviation from this text format. To enable the field on the RFP the exporter must submit a request to the EXDOC Plant program via (EXDOCPlantPrograms@agriculture.gov.au).
  • Where crop inspection is required, a crop inspection report is required to endorse freedom from the listed pests.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 5950)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and pre-harvest and found free from Witch weed (Striga spp).
2) The crop was officially inspected during active growth and found free of White tip nematode (Aphelenchoides besseyi), Field pennycress (Thlaspi arvense), Bacterial leaf blight of rice (Xanthomonas oryzae pv. Oryzae) and Bacterial leaf streak of rice (Xanthomonas Oryzae pv. Oryzicola).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 5951)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and pre-harvest and found free from Witch weed (Striga spp).
2) The consignment is free from White tip nematode (Aphelenchoides besseyi), Field pennycress (Thlaspi arvense), Bacterial leaf blight of rice (Xanthomonas oryzae pv. Oryzae) and Bacterial leaf streak of rice (Xanthomonas Oryzae pv. Oryzicola), according to the result of the official laboratory analysis indicated in the additional product description of this phytosanitary certificate.
Import permit dated 4 October 2019, correspondence with NPPO dated 17 November 2021.
