This ICR applies to the importation of Vaccinium corymbosum under a "Controlled import permit (CIP) to import restricted or 'Not Authorised' plant material" regulated by 7 CFR 319.6.

Vaccinium corymbosum tissue culture imported under this ICR is to be used for growth without destruction in the designated facility as per the import permit.

The quarantine period for Vaccinium spp. is 2 years.

The plant materials must be selected from apparently disease-free and pest-free sources, free of federal noxious weeds and soil.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

An invoice or packing lists must accompany the consignment with the botanical names (genus and species) listed alphabetically, country of origin, details of the exporter and location should be clearly labelled and import permit number included on the bill of lading.

Imported plant material must be packaged in a sturdy closed container to prevent cross contamination and possible escape or introduction of plant pests during shipment.

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

Imported materials must not be wrapped or otherwise packaged in a manner that impedes or prevents adequate inspection or treatment.

Packaging material used in the consignment of the plant material must meet the requirements of 7 CFR 319.37-11, and wood packing material used in the consignment must meet the requirements of 319.40-3(b).

Exporter to use yellow/green label provided and attach it outside of the package to direct the package to the designated Plant Inspection Station.
