Persea americana cuttings imported under this ICR is to be used for research in the designated facility as per import permit.
All plant material must be selected from disease and pest free sources and be free from soil, other foreign matter or debris, prohibited plants and noxious weed seeds.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
An invoice or packing lists must accompany the consignment with the botanical names (genus and species) listed alphabetically, country of origin, details of the exporter and location should be clearly labelled and import permit number included on the bill of lading.
Imported plant material must be packaged in a sturdy closed container to prevent cross contamination and possible escape or introduction of plant pests during shipment.
Importing plants which have been wrapped, coated with fungicide, insecticide, or any other treatment or packaged in plastic or other impermeable material with potential to prevent adequate inspection or treatment may be refused entry.
Packaging material used in the consignment of the plant material must meet the requirements of 7 CFR 319.37-11, and wood packing material used in the consignment must meet the requirements of 319.40-3(b).
Exporter to use yellow/green label provided and attach it outside of the package to direct the package to the deisgnated Plant Inspection Station.
