ICR applies to commercial consignments of split, decorticated or processed lentil seeds.

Permitted entry without an accompanying phytosanitary certificate.

Lentils (whole or split) are a prescribed grain and require an Authorised Officer inspection and the issuance of an export permit.
If the seeds are treated in Australia, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment prior to export and present to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

If requested by the exporter, a phytosanitary certificate may be issued and details of treatment applied prior to export can be endorsed in the treatment section of the phytosanitary certificate.
