Lens spp seed (lentils) requires treatment with methyl bromide in accordance with Treatment Schedule T101-e-1 of the USDA Treatment Manual upon entry into the United States.
If the seeds are treated in Australia, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment prior to export and present to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
If requested by the exporter, a phytosanitary certificate may be issued and details of treatment applied prior to export can be endorsed in the treatment section of the phytosanitary certificate.
