Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Treatment only applicable when specified on the Import Permit.
Treatment design approval and treatment supervision is required by Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

Consignments are to be fumigated with Methyl Bromide as per the following schedule:

112 grm/m3 at 4.5 degrees Celsius (and above) for 24 hours, with minimum concentration readings (grm/m3) of:
  • at 2 hours = 60 grms
  • at 4 hours = 50 grms
  • at 6 hours = 50 grms
  • at 12 hours = 35 grms
  • at 24 hours = 20 grms

OR

80 grm/m3 at 4.5 degrees Celsius (and above) for 48 hours, with minimum concentration readings (grm/m3) of:
  • at 2 hours = 20 grms
  • at 6 hours = 20 grms
  • at 12 hours = 20 grms
  • at 24 hours = 15 grms
  • at 36 hours = 15 grms
  • at 48 hours = 15 grms
