Kiln dried or Heat treated timber:
Consignments must be debarked in accordance with Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 319.40-7 (b):
- no more than 2% of the surface of all timber in a lot/consignment may retain bark
- no single article retaining bark on more than 5% of its surface.
Consignment must undergo the heat treatment schedule listed in treatment section of this Micor case.
General information for exporting wood products:
Kiln dried or Heat treated timber (schedule T314-c):
Tropical Hardwood timber – greater than 15 pieces, not debarked:
- Heat treated at 71.1 degrees Celsius minimum core temperature for a minimum of 75 minutes, or
- Kiln dried at 71.1 degrees Celsius minimum core temperature for a minimum of 75 minutes with moisture reduced below 20% as per the Dry Kiln Operator's Manual.
Tropical Hardwood timber – greater than 15 pieces, not debarked:
- Consignments must be fumigated, prior to import, in accordance with article 319.40-7(f)(1)(ii) of the APHIS 7 CFR.
- Consignments must be fumigated, prior to import, in accordance with article 319.40-7(f)(2),T404 of the APHIS 7 CFR.
