Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

The amount of soil accompanying the plants must not exceed 5%.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Exporter to provide evidence attesting to the consignment being free from quarantine diseases and to present to the Department of Agriculture and Water resources Authorised Officer at time of inspection.
Consignments are to be treated in accordance with the treatment requirements stated on the Import permit.
 
The soil must be treated for harmful nematodes and other quarantine pests and diseases.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.

1) Red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) is known not to occur in the area of production.
2) The soil has been appropriately treated prior to export.
