Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Note:
  • Additional declarations are only to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate when the import permit specifically states this requirement. Import permits sighted in which there is no specific pest or diseases are to be issued with nil additional declaration.

If stated on the import permit, consignments are to be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at recommended manufacturers requirements (registered label rates).

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
