Freedom from wheat smuts

Consignments must be free from karnal bunt (Tilletia indica), dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa), Common bunt of wheat (Tilletia caries Syn. Tilletia tritici) and Common bunt (Tilletia foetida Syn. Tilletia laevis). Karnal bunt (Tilletia indica) and dwarf bunt (Tilletia controversa) are not known to occur Australia.

Exporters must ensure that consignments are free from these species, however no supporting documentation is required to be presented to the Authorised Officer.
