Explanation of the endorsements
Note: For phytosanitary certificates issued on or after 4 August 2026, endorsement 8460 or fumigation is mandatory.
Endorsement 8460:
- Consignments are to be free from plant debris of all kind, based on a representative sample being inspected. No treatment is required if endorsement 8460 is used.
- If endorsement 8460 will not be used, the consignment must be treated. Refer to the below treatment section.
For phytosanitary certificates issued on or after 4 August 2026, consignment not using endorsement 8460 must be treated with:
- Methyl bromide at 80 grm/m3 at 20 degrees Celsius for 48 hours.
