Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Explanation of the endorsements


Endorsement 4878 and 3598:

Consignments are to be fumigated for Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) prior to export.

Endorsement 4872 and 3597:

Consignments do not require fumigation for Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) prior to export
.

It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Turkish NPPO advised that consignments will not be released when the phytosanitary certificate is issued without additional declarations regardless of the import permit not specifying any endorsements.
Consignments must be fumigated with an appropriate fumigant at manufacturers labels requirements.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 4872)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and no symptoms of Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) were observed and a representative sample was tested and found free laboratory of Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci),
2) Alfalfa bacterial wilt (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp insidiosus) has not been known to occur on the place of production or in the immediate vicinity since the last 10 years,
3) The seed in this consignment is sourced from a variety recognized as being highly resistance to Alfalfa bacterial wilt (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp insidiosus), or the seed in this consignment has been sourced from crop which had not started its 4th complete cycle of vegetation from sowing when harvested and there was not more than one preceding seed harvest from the crop, or the content of inert matter in the seed were found to be below 0.10% by weight,
4) No symptoms of Alfalfa bacterial wilt (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp insidiosus) have been observed in the field since the beginning of the last  cropping cycle, or during the three (3) years before sowing the current crop, no Medicago sativa was grown on that field.
5) A representative sample was found free through laboratory testing of Crown and root rot (Verticillium dahliae) and Verticillium wilt (Verticillium albo-atrum).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 3597)
1) The crop was inspected during active growth and no symptoms of Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) were observed and a representative sample was tested and found free laboratory of Stem and bulb nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci),
