A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Aphytosanitary certificate with no additional declarations will be issued untilimport permit specifically requires additional declarations to be endorsed on aphytosanitary certificate.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 2030 and 2026:

Approved treatment requirments applies.
Fungicides - the active ingredients in one of the following treatments is required:
  • Carboxin at 0.8 grm a.i. per kg of seed and Thiram at 0.8 grm a.i. per kg of seed;

OR

  • Carboxin at 0.8 grm a.i. per kg seed and Captan at 0.7 grm a.i. per kg of seed;

OR

  • Fludioxonil at 0.025 grm a.i. per kg seed and Metalaxyl at 0.03 grm a.i. per kg of seed;

OR

  • Imazalil at 80 mg a.i per kg of seed and Triadimenol at 220 mg a.i. per kg of seed;

OR

  • Imazalil at 80 mg a.i per kg of seed and Flutriafol at 80 mg a.i. per kg of seed;

OR

  • Difenoconazole at 0.12 grm a.i per kg of seed and Mefenoxam at 0.01 grm a.i per kg of seed;

OR

  • Fludioxonil at 0.025 grm a.i. per kg seed and Mefenoxam at 0.01 grm a.i. per kg of seed.


The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Refer to Import Permit for treatment details. No treatment will be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate if the import permit does not specify the seed treatment to be conducted.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1998)
1) Leaf freckle (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp nebraskensis), Maize mottle chlorotic stunt virus, Maize chlorotic mottle virus, Maize dwarf mosaic virus, Stewart's disease (Pantoea stewartii subsp stewartii), Leaf spot: Maize (Cochliobolus pallescens), Leaf spot: Cyperus (Cochliobolus tuberculatus), Maize ergot (Claviceps gigantea), Philippine downy mildew (Peronosclerospora philippinensis), Sugar cane downy mildew (Peronosclerospora sacchari), Sorghum downy mildew (Peronosclerospora sorghi), Maize downy mildew (Peronosclerospora maydis), Barn rot (Rhizopus maydis) and Late wilt (Cephalosporium maydis) are not known to occur in Australia,
2) Bacterial leaf blight (Acidovorax avenae subsp avenae) and High plains virus was not detected in a representative sample of seeds officially drawn from the consignment and tested in accordance with official procedures,
3) The seed has been sourced from a pest free area, free from Botryosphaeria zeae, Corn smut (Ustilago maydis), Peronosclerospora heteropogoni, Stalk rot: Maize (Phaeocytostroma ambiguum), Brown stripe downy mildew (Sclerophthora rayssiae var zeae) and Diplodia leaf spot (Stenocarpella macrospora).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1988)
