Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignmentsare to be packed in clean, new packages not previously used for any purpose,and not packed in hay, straw, chaff, soil, forest litter or any decomposingmaterials.

Explanation of the endorsements

Endorsement 7119:
  • Only to be used for seeds of non-Australian origin and where the import permit specifies a requirement for this endorsement.
  • If this endorsement is used, the phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin must be presented to the Authorised Officer at time of inspection and accompany the consignment to Tonga.
Endorsement 1791:
  • To be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate if required by the import permit.
  • Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments must be treated with appropriate pesticide and/or fungicide at approved Australian label rates.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7119)
1) The seeds in this consignment which have been imported into Australia fully comply with Australian biosecurity import requirements and standards.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1791)
1) The seed in this consignment has been grown in Australia.
Import permits dated 30 May 2018, 2 March 2022, 17 March 2022, 9 December and 17 December 2025.
22/12/2025 - Updated treatment details to state consignment must be treated with pesticide and/or fungicide at Australian label rates.
