Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages not previously used for any purpose and must not be packed in hay, straw, straw, chaff, soil, forest litter, or any decomposing material.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Plants are to be treated prior to export with Methyl Bromide fumigation for 2 hours at the following concentrations:

  • 56grm/m3 at 5 to 10 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 48grm/m3 at 11 to 15 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 40 grm/m3 at 16 to 20 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 32 grm/m3 at 21 to 25 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 24 grm/m3 at 26 to 30 degrees Celsius;

OR

  • 16 grm/m3 at 31 degrees Celsius and above.


Or plants must be treated with a 30 second dip in a solution consisting of:

  • Carbaryl 0.1% active ingredient
  • Maldision 0.1% active ingredient
  • White oil 1% active ingredient

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Details of treatment (chemical used (active ingredient), concentration, duration and temperature) to be endorsed on the Phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1400)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of guava rust (Puccinia psidii sensu lato) and myrtle rust complex (Puccinia psidii).
2) The plants were grown in Australia.

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1401)
1) Plants are sourced from a pest free area of guava rust (Puccinia psidii sensu lato) and myrtle rust complex (Puccinia psidii).
2) The plants were grown in Australia.
