This case applies to the Cox hybrid citrus rootstock.

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Fumigation

Consignment must be fumigated with methyl bromide for 2 hours at the following concentration:

  • 56gpm at 5  to 10 degrees Celsius

OR

  • 48gpm at 11 to 15 degrees Celsius

OR

  • 40gpm at 16 to 20 degrees Celsius

OR

  • 32gpm at 21 to 25 degrees Celsius

OR

  • 24gpm at 26 to 30 degrees Celsius

OR

  • 16gpm at 31 degrees Celsius or above


Dipping

Consignment must be treated with a 30 second dip in a solution consisting of:

  • Carbaryl – 0.1% active ingredient
  • Maldision – 0.1% active ingredient
  • White oil – 1.0% prior to export.


Culture media

Coconut coir media is permitted and must be treated with:

  • Heat treatment at 85 degrees Celsius  for 15 hours

OR

  • Autoclave at 120 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes

 

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
