Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

  
Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

  
Exporter is to ensure any packing used is not hay, straw, chaff, forest litter, or any decomposing material. 

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments unable to be certified under endorsement 827 are to be treated by cold disinfestation prior to export.

Core temperature of the fruit to be continuously held at:

  • 0 degrees Celsius (plus / minus 0.5 degrees Celsius) for not less than 13 days;

OR

  • 1 degrees Celsius (plus / minus 0.5 degrees Celsius) for not less than 16 days.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 827)
1) Carrot rust fly (Psila rosae) and Papaya fruit fly (Bactrocera papayae) are known not to occur in Australia,
2) No fruit fly that attacks the particular fruit has been trapped within 80 kms of the growing area within the previous 12 months,
3) The consignment was inspected and found free from Light brown apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana) and Codling moth (Cydia pomonella).
