Consignments may be treated with appropriate fumigants at manufacturers' approved rates.

This is not mandatory unless specified on the import permit.

Details of the treatment may be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section. If this is the case:
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


If no evidence is provided, no treatment details are to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate.
