Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


The seeds must not be genetically modified when specified on the Import Permit.

The seed must be accompanied with a seed analysis certificate when specified on the import permit.

Additional Declarations are only to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate when specified on the import permit.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Where import permit state treatment is required:

Consignments are to be treated with appropriate chemical before dispatch at manufacturers recommended rates.

If fungicidal treatment is specified on the import permit:

Consignments are to be treated with appropriate fungicide before dispatch at manufacturers recommended rates.

Exporter to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and to present to the  Authorised Officer at time of inspection or alternatively seed may be treated on arrival under Plant Quarantine Authorised Officer.
