Only Black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) are permitted to be exported

The scientific name of the product must be declared on the phytosanitary certificate issued by Department of Agriculture and only Exdoc generated Phytosanitary certificates are permitted.

All plants and plant products transhipped through countries or districts where designated insects, mites, fungi, bacteria, viruses or nematodes occur shall be properly packed and secure d in Australia in such a way that they shall not be in contact with any other consignment.

Approved methods for packing and sealing are:

• Closed packages; or.
• Closed packing-carton. If the packing-carton has air holes, the holes shall be covered with screen of no more than 1.6 mm fine meshes; or 
• Packed on pallet. The pallet shall be closely wrapped on six sides with screen of no more than 1.6 mm fine meshes or with other insect proof packing materials; or
• Transported by sealed container.

Plants and plant products exported by sea transport shall be transported in containers which are sealed and arrive in Taiwan with seals intact. 

It is the exporters' responsibility for ensuring the seal is applied to containers.

Fresh fruit exported from non-fruit fly free areas (ie: consignments that require treatment) that are not exported within 14 days from the date of inspection, the consignment shall be re-inspected.

This requirement does not apply to other plant products from any area or fruit which is sourced/produced and exported from recognised pest free areas.
