Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Phytosanitary certificate must state botanical name, production origin and quantity exported.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments which are being transhipped through countries or districts where designated insects, mites, fungi, bacteria, viruses or nematodes occur shall be properly packed and secured in Australia in such a way that they shall not be in contact with any other consignment.

Plants and plant products exported by sea transport shall be transported in containers which are sealed and arrive in Taiwan with seals intact.

It is the exporters' responsibility for ensuring the seal is applied to containers.

All consignments using solid wood packing material must comply with ISPM-15. 

Export is only allowed for parsnip sourced from Victoria and Tasmania.

Export is prohibited for parsnip sourced from NT, NSW, QLD, SA, and WA where burrowing nematode is known to occur.

  • For parsnip without stem and/or leaf attached endorsement code 1839 applies.
  • For parsnip with stem and/or leaf attached endorsement (5754) option 2 applies.

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement code No 5754)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and western flower thrip (Franklinella occidentalis).
