Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

This Importing Country Requirement only applies to stem and leaf portions of the following vegetables:

  • Basil (Ocimum basilicum)
  • Beetroot, Chard, Silverbeet (Beta vulgaris)
  • Broccoli, Broccolini, Brussel sprouts, Cauliflower, Cabbages, Kale, Kalettes, Mizuna leaf, Mustard leaf, Tatsoi, Turnips, and Swede (Brassica spp)
  • Chervil (Anthriscus cerefolium)
  • Chicory, Endive, Radicchio (Cichorium spp)
  • Dill (Anethum graveolens)
  • Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)
  • Lettuces (Lactuca sativa)
  • Oregano (Origanum vulgare)
  • Parsley (Petroselinum crispum)
  • Rhubarb (Rheum spp)
  • Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
  • Rocket, Arugula (Eruca sativa)
  • Sage (Salvia spp)
  • Spinach (Spinacia oleracea)
  • Thyme (Thymus spp)
For vegetables not on this list and without a specific case on MICoR, importing country requirements must be confirmed with NPPO.

All plants and plant products transhipped through countries or districts where designated insects, mites, fungi, bacteria, viruses or nematodes occur shall be properly packed and secured in Australia in such a way that they shall not be in contact with any other consignment, and the phytosanitary status must be maintained intact by using one of the packing methods listed below:

  • Packed by air-tight wrapping.
  • Packed with closed packing cartons. If the packing carton has ventilation holes, the holes shall be covered with insect proof screen of no more than 1.6 mm fine mesh.
  • Packed on pallets or trays. The pallets or trays shall be entirely wrapped with insect proof screen of no more than 1.6 mm fine mesh or with other insect and mite proof packing materials.
  • Transported in a closed container sealed with a "coded seal" and with both container number and seal number recorded on the phytosanitary certificate. 

Plants and plant products exported by sea transport shall be transported in containers which are sealed and arrive in Taiwan with seals intact.

It is the exporters' responsibility for ensuring the seal is applied to containers.

All consignments using solid wood packing material must comply with ISPM-15.

The following are classed as fruits (as they develop from a flower). Please refer to the relevant fruit case(s) for these commodities:

For any commodities with underground portions or fruit attached, this ICR does not apply.

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Light brown apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and Western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 8423)

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and Western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis).
