All material in the consignment must be thoroughly dried.
Hay continues to be permitted entry without an accompanying phytosanitary certificate, however consignments of hay that are certified for export to Taiwan on or after10 May 2021 will require a Certificate as to Condition (G46) issued from EXDOC.
The place of issue must be entered in the 'Lot numbers' field of the RFP as: PLACE OF ISSUE: VICTORIA. There is to be no deviation from this text format.
Container and seal numbers are mandatory on the RFP for all consignments of Hay to Taiwan. Consignments may be held or rejected upon arrival if this information is not included on the G46.
Consignments of more than 10kg of hay is a prescribed good for the purposes of the Export Control Act 2020 and require an Authorised Officer inspection and the issuance of an export permit prior to export. Consignments of not more than 10kg of hay is not a prescribed good and may be exported to Taiwan without an Authorised Officer inspection and the issuance of an export permit. A G46 is required for all consignments of hay to Taiwan to meet the importing country requirements regardless of the consignment weight.
Hay derived from plants other than pasture or cereal plant (e.g. canola hay) is not a prescribed good and does not require Authorised Officer inspection and issuance of an export permit.
