Sealing of packages / cartons in Australia is not required for plants and plant products which do not tranship through countries or districts where designated insects, mites, fungi, bacteria, viruses or nematodes occur. Example: Melbourne - Taipei; Sydney - Kaoshiung (no other landing of the transport vessel).

EXPLANATION OF THE ENODRSEMENTS:

Endorsement #1330 or #1333 applies to consignments which are not transhipped.
Endorsement #1761 or #1799 applies to consignments which are transhipped or vessel lands in another port before arriving in Taiwan

All plants and plant products transhipped through countries or districts where designated insects, mites, fungi, bacteria, viruses or nematodes occur must be properly packed and secured in Australia in such a way that they shall not be in contact with any other consignment.

Plants and plant products exported by sea transport shall be transported in containers which are sealed and arrive in Taiwan with seals intact.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 1330)

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis).

Option 2 (EXDOC Endorsement 1333)

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci),

2) The produce/product has been treated with an appropriate fumigant prior to export, effective against Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis).

Option 3 (EXDOC Endorsement 1581)

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci).

Option 4 (EXDOC Endorsement 1761)

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis),

Option 5 (EXDOC Endorsement 1799)

1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci),

2) The produce/product has been treated with an appropriate fumigant prior to export, effective against Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis) prior to shipment.
