Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
 
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
 
All consignments shall be transported to Sri Lanka under cold storage at a temperature of 0 - 5 degrees Celsius, this is the responsibility of the exporter, no evidence required..
 
Consignments of strawberries are permitted entry at the Colombo or Bandaranayake, Katunayake airport.
