Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignments are to be treated with hot water at 50 degrees Celsius for two hours followed by a coating of a wide spectrum fungicidal dust.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 2799)
1) Sereh disease virus, Abaca mosaic virus, Ramu stunt virus , Ratoon stunting disease, Sugar cane grassy shoot MLO, Xanthomonas campestris pv vasculorum, Sugar cane white leaf MLO (Sugar cane white MLO), Tylonchorhynchus martini, Sugar cane borer (Diatraea saccharalis), Sugar cane stalk borer weevil (Diaprepes abbreviatus) and Phyllophaga smithi are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The cuttings were found free through laboratory testing of Fiji disease virus,
3) The parent plants were found free through appropriate methods of Sugar cane chlorotic streak virus and Leaf scald (Xanthomonas albilineans),
4) A representative sample was inspected and found free of evidence of phytophagous mites, parasitic nematodes and injurious insects.
