Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.


It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.
Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.


Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Cuttings must be properly labelled with their botanical names including varieties and must be securely packaged to prevent spillage in transit.

Cuttings should be less than 150mm in height and 8mm in diameter.
Cuttings must be treated with a approved fungicide and an insecticide at manufacturers recommended rate prior to export.

Details of treatment to be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
 
Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 6522)
1) A representative sample was inspected and found free of symptoms of Root rot pathogens (Phytophthora cactorum and Phytophthora cryptogea) and Fruit-tree pinhole borer (Xyleborinus saxesenii).
2) The avocado cuttings in this consignment have been sourced from an approved orchard which has been inspected and found free from symptoms of Avocado sunblotch viroid.
3) The cuttings are sourced from mother plants which were inspected during active growth and found to be free from Black root rot (Rosellinia necatrix) and Crown and root rot (Verticillium dahlia).
4) Carnation tortix moth (Cacoecimorpha pronubana) and Pierce's disease (Xylella fastidiosa) is not present in Australia.
