If required by the import permit, consignment is to be accompanied with an International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) Orange Certificate.
If required by the import permit, consignment is to be accompanied with Certificate of Origin issued by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Consignments are to securely packed and each package must contain information on crop, variety seed treatment if any, name and address of supplier and lot number.
Explanation of endorsement 6873
- This endorsement is only to be used when required by the import permit. If no such endorsement is required, a phytosanitary certificate with nil endorsement is to be issued.
- Visual inspection is sufficient for endorsing freedom from phytophagous mites and injurious insects.
- A laboratory analysis certificate is required to endorse freedom from nematodes.
If required by the import permit, consignment is to be treated with a wide spectrum fungicide and insecticide at recommended manufacturers' requirements.
If no treatment is required to be endorsed on the import permit, a phytosanitary certificate with no treatment details is to be issued.
