This MICoR case is for lettuce for consumption in commercial airlines and not for direct sale or any other purpose in Sri Lanka. Lettuce is PROHIBITED for direct sale into Sri Lanka.

Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
 
A copy of the Import permit must be presented at the time of making an appointment for an inspection with an Authorised Officer.

All consignments shall be transported to Sri Lanka under cold storage at a temperature of 0 - 5 degrees Celsius, this is the responsibility of the exporter, no evidence required.

Consignments of lettuce are permitted entry at the Colombo or Bandaranayake, Katunayake airport.
