Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
A copy of the Import permit must be presented at the time of making an appointment for an inspection with an Authorised Officer, this is the responsibility of the exporter, no evidence required.
All consignments shall be transported to Sri Lanka under cold storage at a temperature of 0 - 5 degrees celsius.
Consignments of capsicum are permitted entry at the Colombo or Bandaranayake, Katunayake airport.
