Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.


Consignments must not contain more than 1% foreign matter.

A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

A duplicate copy of the import permit must be attached to the consignment.

Full botanical name of the product must be provided on the phytosanitary certificate.

The consignment must be securely packaged to prevent spillage in transit and labelled with the full botanical name.

It is the exporter’s responsibility to ensure that the phytosanitary certificate is issued within 14 days of the consignment being exported from Australia.

Refer to the departure date and inspection date in the Request for Permit.

The consignment must be accompanied by a certificate from an accredited laboratory stating that the bean flour is free from Salmonella and Escherichia coli.

Consignments must be treated to eliminate stored grain pests prior to export.

The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
