This Micor case is applicable to the following rooted plants:

  • Syzygium australe 
  • Syzygium smithii 
Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
A copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Consignment must be clearly labelled with its full botanical name (genus and species).

Note: The designated point of entry in South Africa is Cape Town Harbour, Cape Town International Airport, Durban Harbour. 

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 8491)
1) Armillaria root rot (Armillaria tabescens), Sugarcane stalk borer weevel (Diaprepes abbreviatus), Giant mealybug (Drosicha stebbingi), Bark eating caterpillar (Indarbela quadrinotata), Hexamitodera semivelutina, Lymantria Mathura (Oak tussock moth), Black vine thrips (Retithrips syriacus) and Velvet longhorned beetle (Trichoferus campestris) are known not to occur in Australia.
2) The plants were inspected during active growth and a representative sample was inspected and found free from Myrtle rust (Puccinia psidii).
3) The consignment has been laboratory tested and found free from Pseudomonas syzigii.
4) The parent plants were inspected during active growth and found free from Acheronlia styx, Acrocercops syngramma (Cashew leafminer), Attacus atlas (Atlas moth), Citrus whitefly (Dialeurodes citri), Egyptian fluted scale (Icerya aegyptiaca), Pink hibiscus mealybug (Maconellicoccus hirsutus), Metanastria hyrtaca, Common cutworm (Spodoptera litura) and Hawaiian flower thrips (Thrips hawaiiensis).
5) Plants are packed in a sterilised medium free from soil particles.
6) Plants are packed and free from fruit, seeds and pods.
