Cuttings of each variety must be packed separately and sealed off from the rest of the material in a consignment.
Cuttings must be waxed at both ends.
The diameter of cuttings should preferably be of pencil thickness.
All consignments are to be treated with a wide spectrum pesticide and acaricide at recommended manufacturers requirements.

1) Plum blister mite (Acalitus phloecoptes), Chilean false red mite (Brevipalpus chilensis), Plum gall mite (Diptacus gigantorhynchus), Pacific spider mite (Tetranychus pacificus), Hawthorn spider mite (Tetranychus viennensis), Navel orange worm (Amyelois transitella), Peach twig borer (Anarsia lineatella), Orange tortrix (Argyrotaenia citrana), Oblique banded leafroller (Choristoneura rosaceana), Pear thrips (Taeniothrips inconsequens), Peach tree borer (Synanthedon exitiosa), Plum pox potyvirus, Raspberry ringspot nepovirus, Strawberry latent ringspot nepovirus, Tomato black ring nepovirus, Tomato ringspot nepovirus, Almond witches broom phytoplasma, European stonefruit yellows phytoplasma, Peach rosette phytoplasma, Peach yellows phytoplasma, Peach X disease phytoplasma, Fireblight (Erwinia amylovora), Pierce's disease (Xylella fastidiosa), European canker (Nectria galligena), are not known to occur in Australia,
2) The cuttings were inspected and found free of Indian white wax scale (Ceroplastes ceriferus), Pink hibiscus mealybug (Maconellicoccus hirsutus) and Black cherry aphid (Myzus cerasi),
3) Peach latent mosaic viroid, Tobacco ringspot nepovirus and Brown rot (Monilinia fructicola) are known not to occur in the area of production.
