Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

The following species are prohibited export;

  • Magnolia champaca
  • Magnolia praecocissima
  • Magnolia quinquepeta
  • Magnolia seiboldii
  • Magnolia soulangeana

Original and certified translation of the import permit must be presented to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Plants must be less than 2 years in age.

Consignment must be clearly identified with their scientific name (genus and species).

Consignments are to be packed in clean, new packages/bags not previously used for any purpose.

Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.

Option 1 (EXDOC Endorsement 7593)
1) Potato rot nematode (Ditylenchus destructor), Liriomyza spp, Eotetranychus pruni (syn. E. pomi), Tetranychus canadensis, Tetranychus mcdanieli, Tetranychus pacificus, Tetranychus schoenei, Tetranychus viennensis, Sudden oak disease (Phytopthora ramorum) and Xylella fastidiosa are not known to occur in Australia,
2) A representative sample was inspected and found free of the Western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis), Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci), White tip nematode (Aphelenchoides bessayi), Spring dwarf nematode (Aphelenchoides fragariae), Chrysanthemum foliar nematode (Aphelenchoides ritzema-bosi), and Eotetranychus sexmaculatus.
3) Plants in this consignment are packed in sterilised medium free from soil particles,
4) Plants in this consignment are free from fruit, seed and pods.
