Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.

Consignments may be exported without an import permit if they are to be imported through a port of entry specified in Table 3 of the Government Notice R.1013 of 26 May1989 and accompanied by an importer's declaration stating that the consignment is intended for immediate re-export or for purposes other than cultivation.

If an import permit is issued, a copy of the import permit must be presented to an Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
