1) The parent plants were found free through laboratory testing of Sweet potato blast (Ralstonia solanacearum biovar 4), Streptomyces soil rot (pox) (Streptomyces ipomoeae), Sweet potato mild mottle virus, Sweet potato vein mosaic virus, Sweet potato yellow dwarf virus and Sweet potato little leaf phytoplasma.
