ICR applies to organic growing media, sphangum moss, moss and peat.
Explanation of the endorsements
Endorsement 5744:
Applies to consignments where the growing media has been laboratory tested.
If unable to meet endorsement 5744 exporter can treat growing media using one of the below treatments. Fumigation and heat treatments must be done no more than 14 days prior to export.
Note:
- Consignments are to be treated with an approved fumigant at recommended manufacturer's requirements;
OR
- Sterilised via heat or stream treatment at an appropriate temperature and duration;
OR
- Irradiated at a minimum absorbed dosage of 50 kGy.
Note:
- treatment can be done on arrival but importer assumes all responsibility and costs.
